Getting Started

Congrats on being accepted to try Jetspinner.

Jetspinner creates variations of content that you have already created.

The basic synatix is very simple.

Placing { } around any content tells Jetspinner to look inside the content area.

Placing a bar inside the area such as {word1|word2} tells Jetspinner to select at random one of the inside words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs or even whole article variations!

This is a recursive activity so it can be used on as many levels as you wish. Such that {The dog ran {fast|slow} to the {mall|store}|The dog drove the {car|truck} to the {mall|store|shopping center}} will choose either the first or the second sentence then continue inside that sentence and parse the inside content.

Spun article variations will be visable on your main page

Options

Add "For a unique version of this article" link? - This will add at the bottom of every article a link to allow anyone who uses your article to instantly spin their own unique variation of the article. This is extremely powerful as it allows for an unlimited number of potential article instances in Google as opposed to only having avaliable the number of unique article spins that you have already submitted to directories or other resources.

Allow Public to View Spins - This will allow anyone to spin a new version of your article through the "Unique version of this article" link. It determines which pages are shown in your Public Article Repository.

Advanced Commands

Random Order

Structure: {order:delimiter:mintimes:maxtimes:Word1|Word2|Word3}

Examples:

• {order:, :1:3:Word1|Word2|Word3}
  • This will give any combonation of the words returning at least 1 word and at most 3 words. One word appears as "Word1" three words appear as "Word1, Word2, Word3".
• {order: :2:3:This is cool.|I wish I was this cool.|I love jetspin!}
  • This will give any combonation of the sentences returning at least 2 setences and at most 3 sentences. Two sentences appears as "This is cool. I wish I was this cool.", three sentences appear as "This is cool. I wish I was this cool. I love jetspin!".

Rules

• You MUST specify a delimiter, even if it is blank such as "{order::"
• You may use "mintimes" and "maxtimes" together such as "{order::1:2:"
• You may use only "mintimes" which specifies the exact number of times such as "{order::2:"
• You may NOT only specify "maxtimes" use 1 in "mintimes" if you want this functionality

Data Merge - New 11/2/06

Structure: {db:Column#:}

What it does: Data Merge will take a csv file in comma delimited format and use the rows as inputs within a document.

If you have a csv file with make/model/year then {db:1:} will print the make, {db:2:} will print the model, and {db:3:} will print the year.

It will attempt to spin an article for each row. If you have 50 entries of make/model/year in the csv file and attempt to spin 100 articles then you will have 2 articles for each row.

This works on any level. You can give as input a file with 5 rows and spin 50 articles, 10 articles with each row's data. It uses rows in order but this doesn't hurt anything since each article is spun randomly and not via any systamtic method.

Public Article Repository(s) - New 11/17/06

Structure:

What it does: Placing this code within a php file on your server will pull in all the public articles you have in catagory#

You must replace the bold "username" above with your own username at Jetspinner.

You must also replace catagory # with the appropriate catagory # corosponding to the catagory you wish to pull from. If you do not put a catagory number it will pull all your public articles.
